Voice that keeps your language and your place

A voice conversation depends on more than audio quality. It also needs to respect your language, distinguish a pause from a finished turn, and preserve what you were reading. September brought a series of focused changes to those transitions.
Your choice of language comes first
Voice sessions now use the language saved in the app when you have made a selection. This addresses a mismatch where someone using Linse in Spanish could start a voice session in English because of the browser’s language setting.
Stopping audio keeps the answer
When a voice response is stopped, the answer is finalized in place instead of being removed from the conversation. You can stop listening and still read the content that has already arrived.
Interruption handling was also refined to distinguish reduced playback volume from an explicit stop. These are different intentions, and the interface should not treat them as the same action.
A more consistent turn
The listening and thinking states were aligned more closely with the acceptance of a spoken turn. Pause handling and short acknowledgement sounds were also refined. Together, these changes improve the continuity between speaking, waiting, and reading.
